ROOTED IN RESILIENCE

UNITED IN HEALING

SPRING 2025 EXPERIENCE

FINDING CALM ~BUILDING CONNECTION

Our second event was created with wellness at its heart, offering fire survivors a chance to pause, breathe, and focus on themselves. Through calming wellness experiences, meaningful connections, and professional hair and makeup styling generously provided by our sponsors, guests were reminded that they are worthy of care and kindness. It was a day dedicated to restoring confidence, nurturing hope, and creating moments of joy during a challenging season of recovery.

Our Second Retreat: Continuing the Journey of Healing

After witnessing the impact of our first retreat, we knew our work wasn't finished. Our second retreat carried forward the same mission, to create a space where women affected by the Los Angeles fires could experience a day dedicated to healing, confidence, and connection.

Once again, we welcomed our guests into an environment centered on wellness and community. The day included restorative wellness activities that encouraged everyone to slow down, recharge, and simply be present with one another.

Thanks to the incredible generosity of our sponsors, including Fabletics and Pizza Girl, we were able to provide thoughtful gifts, nourishing meals, and meaningful experiences that made every attendee feel cared for. The support from our partners continues to be the heart of what makes these retreats possible.

While this retreat looked a little different from our first event, the intention remained the same. Rather than creating complete personalized wardrobes, we provided beautiful clothing donations for guests to shop from and take home. Each woman also received professional hair styling, makeup services, and a portrait session giving them the opportunity to see themselves through a renewed lens of confidence and strength.

One of the most meaningful parts of the day was seeing familiar faces alongside new ones. The conversations, shared experiences, and genuine support between the women reminded us that healing doesn't happen in isolation, it happens in community.

Every retreat teaches us something new, but one thing has remained constant: when people come together with compassion and generosity, incredible things happen. We are deeply grateful to our volunteers, beauty professionals, photographers, wellness practitioners, sponsors, and donors who continue to make these experiences possible.

Our second retreat reaffirmed why this work matters. It strengthened our commitment to creating spaces where women feel seen, supported, and celebrated as they continue their journey forward.
